136" track (schnieder)

For the ultimate snowmobiling adventure, nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like a day in the mountains. From the extreme rush of bowl climbing and high marking to ripping through a field of heavenly powder, mountain riding offers an experience beyond compare.

To help you get the most out of those days, we offer the 2002 Ski-Doo® Summit snowmobile, the supreme mountain machine. Available in six option packages and four engine choices, this extreme performance sled is created by adrenaline-junkie mountain experts who know exactly how you like to ride.

Powerful twin-cylinder Rotax® engines rocket you to the summit on the lightest, most maneuverable chassis in-class. Add a long mountain track - ranging from 136 to 151 inches - and you have the perfect machine for shredding the most remote bowls in the mountains. As if that weren't enough, the Summit also comes with the Digital Performance Management (DPM) system to accommodate changes in altitude and weather, keeping your sled running at peak performance up to 14,000 feet.

Continuing a tradition of industry firsts for the Summit (such as Mountain grab bars, anti-slip running boards, DPM and deep lug tracks), the 2002 model introduces new mountain skis with an offset keel, a convertible ski stance and a SC-10 Mountain rear suspension with lower angle of attack.

Whether you're carving through a field of fresh powder or boondocking through back country, you want to be light. And since the Summit is one of the lightest sleds in its class, there's no reason to settle for second best. Add the muscle of Rotax motors and you've got the best power-to-weight ratio in the mountains.
